CHARGESPOT Surpasses 10,000 Installations at FamilyMart

In a significant milestone for the mobile battery sharing ecosystem, INFORICH Inc., headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, has announced that its service, CHARGESPOT™, has achieved over 10,000 installations at FamilyMart outlets across Japan. This marks an unprecedented achievement for any company in the country regarding battery rental services, celebrated as of June 2026.

Expanding the Service Several Key Reasons

Currently, CHARGESPOT operates approximately 60,000 units throughout the nation. The service has been rapidly expanding its footprint by offering installations at various facilities like train stations, commercial spaces, and restaurants. Convenience stores like FamilyMart, strategically located along consumers' daily paths, provide an ideal environment for addressing the common issue of smartphone battery shortages. By leveraging these locations, CHARGESPOT has significantly enhanced its service accessibility for users.

Going forward, both INFORICH and FamilyMart are committed to further cooperation to meet rising consumer needs. They plan to implement additional installations at around 2,000 FamilyMart locations nationwide by 2027, facilitating a greater assertion of “peace of mind for always being charged” as a social infrastructure within daily life.

Insight from FamilyMart’s Management

Shinya Yamanaka, the Assistant General Manager from FamilyMart’s Creative Office & 8, shared his thoughts on this collaboration. He expressed his deep appreciation for the convenience and potential that CHARGESPOT brings, emphasizing how it addresses the issue of battery drain while out and about. He remarked that the service aligns perfectly with FamilyMart's vision of being a constant companion to their customers, encapsulated in their motto, “With you, always.”

Yamanaka conveyed that their aim was to establish a nationwide system that allows customers to access charging facilities “anytime, anywhere
