Arden Tei Opens Its New Store in Shinjuku NS Building

On May 14th, a beloved spaghetti specialty restaurant, Arden Tei, opened its third location in the bustling Shinjuku NS Building. Founded in 1977, Arden Tei has maintained its classic recipes and continues to be a favorite among pasta enthusiasts. This latest opening by Jiro Restaurant System Co., Ltd., led by President Hiroyuki Okamoto, is a significant event for food lovers.

To celebrate this occasion, Arden Tei has brought back a nostalgic dish, the ‘Carbo Rosso’ (priced at 1,580 yen), available exclusively at the new NS Building location. This dish features a rich tomato cream base, accented with a hint of spiciness, and a smooth egg yolk that creates an addictive flavor. To top off the grand opening, the first 200 customers each day during the first five days will receive a random original badge from a selection of six designs as a special gift. Arden Tei first opened its doors in Ginza in 1977, dedicated to serving al dente spaghetti that has garnered a loyal following. The unique rotating boiling pot system ensures that each strand of pasta is cooked to perfection, while the recipes, which have been carefully preserved since the restaurant’s inception, are so well-loved that they have even attracted international celebrities as patrons. The signature dish, ‘Aritalia,’ was inspired by recipes learned directly from crews of an Italian airline.

Arden Tei's Ginza branch closed in March 2017 following the closure of Sony Building, marking the end of a 44-year tradition in that location.
