Collaboration with BRAHMAN: Launch of the JINMIRAI Epos Card
On May 15, 2026, Epos Card Co., a subsidiary of Marui Group, will launch the BRAHMAN JINMIRAI Epos Card in collaboration with the legendary Japanese rock band, BRAHMAN, celebrating their 30th anniversary. This credit card allows users to turn ordinary purchases into opportunities for disaster recovery support.
Purpose of the BRAHMAN JINMIRAI Epos Card
This unique card arises from the shared passion of Epos employees inspired by BRAHMAN’s long-standing commitment to support disaster-stricken areas. A portion of each transaction made with the card will be donated to the “Hatagaya Rebuilding University Reconstruction Department,” a certified NPO led by TOSHI-LOW, the band’s frontman. The name of the card, “JINMIRAI,” reflects a commitment to keep support efforts ongoing into the future.
Key Features of the Card
1. Original Design Expressing the Spirit of Support
The card features a bespoke graphic designed by Keiichi Iwata, who has been designing BRAHMAN's artwork since their early days. This design aims to be more than just a transaction tool; it is a tangible symbol of commitment to aid recovery efforts. Iwata’s design portrays four creatures joining hands to face challenges, representing unity in their support activities. Although the card appears solid black at first glance, the intention is to create a design that remains timeless and avoids monotony.
2. Sustainable Donations through Everyday Use
By simply using this card for regular purchases, customers can contribute to disaster recovery efforts without any additional burden.
- - Transaction Donations: 0.1% of each transaction is donated to the recovery initiatives of the Hatagaya Rebuilding University.
- - Membership Donations: Each new membership generates a donation of 1,000 yen to the same NPO.
The donations are directed toward on-site recovery activities, ensuring that funds reach those who need them most. Moreover, existing Epos cardholders can also participate by selecting this NPO as a donation recipient through the “Epos Point Tale” service, allowing them to contribute their accumulated points.
3. Exclusive Content for Cardholders
Members can stay informed about how their support makes an impact through regular activity reports. This engagement fosters a sense of shared purpose and connection with ongoing relief efforts.
Background: Resonating with the Will to ‘Not Forget’
BRAHMAN has been actively involved in recovery efforts since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, establishing the Hatagaya Rebuilding University Reconstruction Department under TOSHI-LOW's leadership. Over the past 15 years, they have continually participated in rebuilding efforts in areas like Tohoku, Kumamoto, and Noto. Their unwavering presence in these communities highlights their belief that the support must not fade away with time.
The initiative began when employees, inspired by the band’s efforts and their own desire to leverage Marui Group’s assets to support a meaningful cause, sought ways to create a lasting impact through a collaborative project. This collaboration embodies the potential for actions anchored in empathy to weave seamlessly into daily life, fostering stronger community connections.
Special Event and YouTube Discussion
To celebrate the launch, a pop-up store featuring exclusive BRAHMAN and Epos card merchandise will be held in Shibuya from May 15 to May 24, 2026. Furthermore, a special discussion video featuring Marui Group staff and TOSHI-LOW is available on YouTube, where they share insights about this initiative.
Commitment to Supporting ‘What You Love’
Marui Group's business vision emphasizes fostering an economy driven by passion. This credit card is a prime example of turning individual interests into beneficial actions for society. With 37 projects and over 120,000 members as of March 2026, the initiative continues to expand the community's reach.
The BRAHMAN JINMIRAI Epos Card serves as a bridge between personal enjoyment and societal benefit. Through various initiatives, including events and merchandise sales, the company aims to encourage spending that helps others, demonstrating that personal passions can create significant social impact.
