From April 16th to April 29th, 039LAUNDRY is hosting a limited-time pop-up shop at the GINZA Stage, located on the 5th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi. This brand, known for its exceptional creations using American Sea Island cotton and innovative Japanese craftsmanship, showcases a range of to-date masterpieces that reflect its continuous evolution since its establishment.

Featuring American Sea Island Cotton Series

One of the highlights of the pop-up will be the Regular Weight Pocket T-Shirt, priced at 15,400 yen. This shirt boasts a unique texture derived from open-end yarn technology that enhances the natural luster and smoothness of the American Sea Island cotton. Carefully crafted, from knitting to dyeing and embroidery, this series is perfect for those seeking quality, durable apparel that stands the test of time.

Denim Mix Series

039LAUNDRY also introduces the Denim Mix Standard T-Shirt, priced at 13,200 yen. The creation process of this shirt involves collecting and washing used denim, followed by meticulous manual disassembly to remove any hardware. The reprocessed denim is then blended with virgin cotton at their spinning factory in Nagano, resulting in a unique new yarn. The final product is crafted using traditional jacquard knitting machines in Wakayama, resulting in a denim mix T-shirt that exhibits rich textures, such as slight mottling and shades of blue that tell a story of its own.

Collaboration with Kyoto Monuki

A key attraction of this pop-up is the collaboration with Kyoto Monuki, a brand known for its ancient black kimono dyes. With over a century of history, Kyoto Monuki has mastered its unique deep black processing technique, known as Synchro Processing. This exclusive collaboration embodies Japanese craftsmanship and the essence of ‘Made in Japan’ through apparel adorned with an extraordinary shade of black, resulting in a collection that is a must-see at the pop-up.
