During the recent VivaTech event in Paris, a major tech showcase in Europe, Envision Energy, a prominent figure in green technology, presented its 2026 Net Zero Action Report. This marks the sixth consecutive year in which the company has shared its insights on the imperative for action toward net-zero emissions.
The report illustrates how the blending of energy systems with artificial intelligence is beginning to redefine not only industrial frameworks but the core of modern civilization itself. Envision's Founder and CEO, Lei Zhang, emphasized that the future infrastructure will thrive on a groundbreaking power system that seamlessly integrates energy sources, storage, grid management, and computing intelligence.
“Achieving a successful energy transition means going beyond merely replacing traditional energy sources. It embodies crafting a new wave of infrastructure capable of fostering sustainable prosperity throughout the era of AI,” Zhang remarked. He further explained that energy serves as not only the backbone of AI but also the very essence of intelligent infrastructures. The emphasis is on meticulous full-chain energy management, allowing intelligent production to harness abundant, reliable, and sustainable power—an essential requirement for the anticipated industrial revolution driven by AI.
Innovating with AI Power Systems
In the past year, Envision has taken significant strides in developing what it calls AI Power Systems. This innovation is poised to prompt remarkable efficiencies, optimizing every single unit of green electricity generated. Notably, the company showcased this model at the Chifeng Net Zero Industrial Park, where a 2 GW renewable power system operates, effectively coordinating wind, solar, storage capabilities, computing workloads, and green hydrogen production in real time.
Collaborating with tech giant Tencent, Envision's AI Power Systems optimize workload scheduling by dynamically aligning computing demands with the availability of renewable energy. Through its ambitious Mission Gobi initiative, announced during VivaTech 2026, Envision aims to establish a 5 GW capacity of green AI data centers in desert regions by 2030.
A Global Commitment to Change
Beyond technological advancements, the report also underscores Envision's commitment to impact through real-world applications that bolster energy security and promote community development. For instance, in Egypt, its Amunet Wind Project, boasting a capacity of 500 MW, recently became fully operational. This facility is one of Africa's largest wind installations and produces around 2.3 billion kWh yearly—enough energy to power approximately 800,000 households.
In the UK, their Dubhe Energy Foundation Model underpins the Carrington project, scheduled to generate enough electricity to serve 2.2 million households for two hours, while simultaneously enhancing grid stability and aligning with net-zero objectives.
Moreover, Envision's Chifeng facility made headlines by shipping its first batch of green ammonia, a new zero-carbon commodity, to LOTTE Fine Chemical in South Korea. Additionally, in Laos, the Monsoon Wind Power Project not only provides clean energy to 1.43 million homes in Vietnam but actively contributes to local development by clearing landmines and supporting educational initiatives.
