Hyperion Bancshares Celebrates Two Decades of Community Engagement and Future Aspirations
Celebrating 20 Years of Hyperion Bancshares
Hyperion Bancshares, Inc., the parent organization of Hyperion Bank, is in high spirits as it celebrates 20 years of providing community-centric banking solutions. Founded in 2006, this milestone reflects a journey marked by trust, growth, and strong relationships within the communities it serves. The official anniversary day is set for November 20, 2026, and the bank is marking this significant occasion with a series of customer-focused celebrations.
A Legacy Built on Relationships
Reflecting on the two decades of operations, Lou DeCesare, the President and COO, emphasizes that the anniversary symbolizes much more than just a timeline. He states, "Twenty years represents far more than a timeline – it reflects thousands of relationships built on trust." This sentiment echoes the bank’s mission since its inception, which is to blend experienced banking practices with modern technology to deliver tailored solutions to both individual and business customers.
With headquarters in Philadelphia and an expansion to Metro Atlanta in 2019, Hyperion has established itself as a prominent player in the community banking sector. The bank aims to be not just a financial institution but a vital part of the neighborhoods it serves.
Anniversary Celebrations
To commemorate its 20th year, Hyperion Bancshares invites customers, neighbors, and business partners to partake in special events at its Philadelphia and Atlanta locations. On select dates between November 9 and November 13, the ban will be hosting drop-in events from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where attendees can enjoy treats and receive giveaways.
This initiative allows the team to connect directly with the community and express their gratitude for the ongoing support they have received over the years. “Our story has always been about the communities we serve and our exceptional, responsive bankers who keep that service promise daily,” adds Charlie Crawford, Chairman and CEO of Hyperion.
Commitment to Future Growth
Looking ahead, Hyperion remains focused on technology investment, deepening commercial relationships, and exploring innovative ways to support small businesses and local families. The bank’s commitment to fostering strong community bonds reflects an understanding of the essential role that community banks play in stimulating local economies.
With total assets nearing $600 million, Hyperion's growth trajectory is a testament to its disciplined approach and focus on building robust customer relationships. As of the third quarter of 2026, the bank recorded total assets of $589.8 million, a 13.5% year-over-year increase, alongside a 27.1% surge in deposits, reaching $448.2 million. Notably, loans have also seen a 13.9% rise, amounting to $502.7 million, while net income surged by 44%, totaling $2.06 million for the first nine months of the year.
This strong financial performance underscores the effectiveness of Hyperion's strategy and their relentless commitment to serving the needs of their customers.
Industry Recognition
Hyperion Bancshares has been recognized multiple times for its growth and service quality, making it to the Inc. 5000 list in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and being featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal's Fast 50 for the last seven consecutive years.
