Crocs, Inc. Unveils its 2024 Comfort Report

In a bold showcase of corporate responsibility and sustainability commitment, Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX), a global leader in innovative casual footwear, has just released its latest Comfort Report for 2024. This report not only reflects the company's ongoing dedication to quality and comfort but also serves as a testament to its collaborative efforts with employees, fans, suppliers, and community partners. The report's theme prominently focuses on Comfort for the Planet, Comfort for Our Communities, and Comfort for All People, underpinned by actionable strategies about Inclusivity, Climate, Circularity, and Community.

Purpose-Driven Initiatives

CEO Andrew Rees emphasized the role of their Purpose strategy as a transformative catalyst for both business and societal outcomes. "Our Purpose strategy is essential for creating a more comfortable world for everyone," Rees stated, underscoring the significance of collaboration and innovation in achieving these ambitions. He further highlighted that embedding impact within corporate operations is a dual approach that fosters a resilient business while contributing positively to society and the environment.

One of the noteworthy milestones in this year's report was Crocs' achievement of incorporating 25% bio-circular content in its proprietary Croslite™ material. This significant advancement, which represents over 80% of the materials used in Crocs' extensive product range including their iconic Classic Clog, effectively reduced emissions per pair by nearly 5% compared to the previous year and approximately 10% from a 2021 baseline. This commitment to lower-carbon materials marks a substantial step forward in reducing Crocs’ overall carbon footprint.

Circular Initiatives and Community Programs

Expanding their Old Crocs. New Life. consumer takeback program beyond its pilot phase in 2023, Crocs has successfully rolled it out to all 183 stores across the continental U.S. and into Canada. As of June 2025, this initiative is also available in all Crocs-owned locations in Europe, allowing customers to return their used footwear, reinforcing the brand's commitment to sustainability. In response to the enthusiastic engagement from consumers, Crocs introduced the limited-edition Keep It Going Classic Clog, which incorporates 25% post-consumer recycled content and showcases its sustainable journey through unique design elements that proudly display its circularity narrative.

Another innovative initiative launched in 2024 is the STEP UP TO GREATNESS program, aimed at empowering young individuals aged 15-29. This program seeks to equip youth with life-enhancing skills that foster confidence and unlock opportunities. Partnering with influential non-profits like UNICEF's UPSHIFT and Big Brothers Big Sisters, Crocs aims to impact over 3 million young people globally by providing skills-building workshops and mentorship opportunities. Retail employees from Crocs and HEYDUDE stores across the U.S. engaged in collaborative initiatives with mentors, offering customers avenues to contribute to this worthy cause through point-of-sale donations.

A Vision for the Future

Deanna Bratter, Chief Sustainability Officer at Crocs, expressed pride in the collective efforts of their global teams in driving purpose-driven initiatives. She acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead in achieving their sustainability goals but remains confident in their strategy to foster a more comfortable world for all. Crocs, Inc.’s overarching Purpose strategy is firmly rooted in a commitment to responsible corporate governance, aiming to create enduring value not just for the company, but for society and the planet alike.
