SERES Achieves Strong Mid-Year Results for 2025
On August 29, 2025, SERES revealed its remarkable mid-year performance, showcasing growth across all key metrics in the first half of the year. The company reported operating revenues of 62.4 billion CNY and a net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.94 billion CNY, marking an impressive year-over-year increase of 81%. The surge in revenue has been fueled by robust demand for premium intelligent electric vehicles under the AITO brand, emphasizing exceptional product quality and delivery capabilities.
One of the key contributors to SERES's success has been its versatile MF platform, which enables efficient model development, along with the 'Super Factory' model that facilitates rapid production scaling. Moreover, SERES has invested heavily in advanced digital quality control systems, creating a modern luxury driving experience that continues to elevate AITO’s reputation in the market.
The latest AITO models have not only met but exceeded market expectations, with the AITO 9 and AITO 8 sustaining their sales leadership. Throughout the first half of 2025, the AITO lineup introduced several new models, including the AITO 5 Ultra, AITO 9 2025 Edition, and AITO 8, all of which received outstanding market responses. These advancements in the entire value chain have set new benchmarks for delivery standards among China's luxury new energy vehicle brands. As of August 2025, total deliveries for all AITO models exceeded 750,000 units. Notably, the AITO 9 has surpassed 220,000 units in deliveries, securing its position as the best-selling vehicle in the 500,000 CNY luxury segment. The AITO 8 has also won over consumers, achieving over 70,000 deliveries and maintaining the top spot in the 400,000 CNY price segment for four consecutive months.
Additionally, a recent LandRoads Brand Health Tracking Study for New Energy Vehicles highlighted AITO's leading position in the Brand Development Confidence Index, with the AITO 9 topping the net promoter score (NPS) for new energy vehicles with an impressive score of 85.2. On August 25, AITO launched a fully electric version of its flagship SUV, the AITO 8, and will officially debut the new AITO 7 in September, further expanding its product range to meet diverse consumer needs and solidifying its market leadership in the new energy luxury vehicle sector.
SERES's commitment to technological innovation plays a crucial role in its long-term growth. The company has consistently increased its research and development investments, allocating 5.2 billion CNY in the first half of 2025, representing a year-over-year rise of nearly 155%. The R&D workforce has grown to 6,984 employees, accounting for 36% of the firm’s total workforce, an increase of 27% year-on-year.
During the Shanghai Auto Show this year, SERES showcased its pioneering intelligent safety system, which employs a scenario-based approach to vehicle safety, establishing a comprehensive intelligent safety framework in four key areas: life protection, body protection, healthcare, and privacy protection. This holistic solution ensures user safety throughout the vehicle's lifecycle and sets a new industry benchmark for intelligent safety.
Previously, SERES also introduced several significant technological advancements, such as the SERES MF platform, the SERES Range Extender technology, and the revolutionary Super Factory model. The SERES Super Factory has set a precedent in the industry with its 'factory within a factory' model, promoting product integration, intelligent manufacturing, and industrial clustering to foster collaboration and innovation. Additionally, the company established a new sector standard with its Smart Zero Carbon Logistics Center.
Investor confidence has surged, propelling SERES's brand value upwards as it became the fourth global new energy vehicle manufacturer to achieve profitability. The company laid solid foundations for growth through strategic product portfolio optimization, technological innovation, and improved operational efficiency. SERES ranked 169th on the 2025 Fortune China 500 list, marking a remarkable rise of 235 spots from the previous year—the largest jump of any company on the list.
In the August release of the 2025 TopBrand rank of China’s 500 Best Brands, SERES secured the 92nd position with a brand value of 175.520 billion CNY, positioning itself within the top 10 in the automotive industry and underscoring its brand development leadership and market influence. Recently, on August 28, SERES climbed to 59th place in the Top 500 Private Companies in China 2025, a jump of 174 spots, becoming the highest-ranked private company in Chongqing.
Capital markets continue to reflect strong investor confidence in SERES's future growth, with almost 40 brokerage firms issuing 'Buy' ratings over the past six months, anticipating the company will sustain its robust growth trajectory during the latter half of the year.
