On October 8th, the cutting-edge Seiha Dance Academy opened in the AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi, designed to provide a bright and spacious setting for aspiring young dancers. With large windows overlooking the dance lessons, parents can enjoy watching their children as they dance their hearts out in well-lit classrooms.

Facilities and Features

The new facility is equipped with full-length mirrors, allowing children to see their movements as they practice. This immersive environment encourages them to move freely and express themselves through dance. One of the academy's key highlights is its original teaching material, known as the Kazufumi-kun Mat, which helps students naturally acquire the fundamental movements of dance while following rhythmic patterns.

Located on the third floor of AEON Mall, the academy offers classes for children, running four days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Here’s the schedule:

Enrollment Information

Prospective students can enroll from October 3, 2025, to October 31, 2025, between 10:00 and 18:00. With the help of the Papaya Method, children learn to move their bodies in a fun and engaging way, promoting rhythm and expressiveness naturally.

Unique Teaching Method

The Seiha Dance Academy employs the innovative Papaya Method, created by renowned dancer Papaya Suzuki. This method incorporates the Kazufumi-kun Mat, which simplifies dance moves by guiding students to step on mats numbered 1 through 4. This interactive approach is designed not only to enhance enjoyment but also to nurture rhythm and core physical skills.

Through this method, children effectively develop their ability to transfer body weight, a critical skill for any dancer. Essentially, this mat serves as a musical score, leading students to the very essence of dance.
