Ain Group's Commitment to Sustainability: New Materiality and KPIs
In December of last year, Ain Group evaluated and updated its materiality in pursuit of becoming a company that the local community feels grateful to have. In line with our sustainability efforts, the company has developed key initiatives, KPIs, and goals through consultations within the Sustainability Committee and discussions at the Board of Directors.
As we set new targets, we considered external environmental changes and the announcement of our mid- to long-term vision, "Ambitious Goals 2034." We are committed to setting challenging goals leading up to April 2031, aiming to contribute to sustainable development in society while ensuring our corporate sustainability.
Primary Initiatives, KPIs, and Aspirational Goals Based on Materiality
1.
Contribution to Regional Healthcare
To promote quality healthcare while controlling medical expenses, we aim to improve the function of "family pharmacists and pharmacies" by centralizing and continuously monitoring patient medication information. Our goal is to ensure the availability of a family pharmacist at every pharmacy (100%).
-
Aspirational Goal: We will enhance support for home care services for patients who cannot visit hospitals, targeting a 10% provision rate for home medical care.
2.
Providing Enriching Lifestyle Products
We cater to individual empowerment and the realization of a unique daily life by offering a wide range of fresh cosmetics, beauty products, and home goods based on trends and needs through our stores. We aim to expand our store network with 175 Ain's & Tulpe stores and 210 Francfranc stores.
3.
Safety, Security, and Trust
All employees will recognize the importance of safety and security at every stage of pharmaceutical provision. Our target is to conduct medical safety training at least 12 times a year across all pharmacies and achieve over 50% positive feedback in customer satisfaction surveys.
4.
Environmental Protection and Load Reduction
We aim to accurately monitor the greenhouse gas emissions across the group and visualize the reduction effects of our initiatives. Our targeted carbon dioxide (GHG) emissions reduction rate is 30%, with a waste disposal rate of 0.025% for medical pharmaceuticals.
5.
Employee Growth and Success
We will foster a culture of continuous learning and develop training systems for employees to realize their potential. Attendance in tiered training will be aimed at 100%, with 50% representation of women in managerial positions.
6.
Healthy Business Foundations
We will promote a corporate culture that respects human rights and comprehensively address stakeholders' human rights risks. Regular evaluation of our supply chain's human rights practices is set to occur annually, while we will strive to reduce indirect operational time through AI transformation by 12.5% by fiscal 2025.
7.
Collaboration with Local Communities and Partners
Our goal is to achieve social contribution through regular community engagement activities, targeting a 50% certification rate for health-supporting pharmacies, and maintain a 100% participation rate in supplier briefings on sustainable procurement.
Ain Group has always conducted its business activities in accordance with sound ethics, aiming to fulfill our Group Statement: "Customer Health and Smiles." Moving forward, we will continuously adapt and act with our diverse stakeholders in mind, promoting corporate growth while creating social, environmental, and economic value through our sustainability management.
