2025 JAGDA亀倉雄策賞・新人賞展の概要
The Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg) in Tokyo will host the 2025 JAGDA亀倉雄策賞・新人賞展 from July 15 to August 27, 2025. This exhibition commemorates the winners of the亀倉雄策賞 and the JAGDA新人賞, prestigious awards handed out by the Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA).
The JAGDA, founded in 1978, is Asia's largest design organization with approximately 3,000 members, including graphic designers. The organization promotes design through various activities such as publishing the annual 'Graphic Design in Japan,' hosting exhibitions and seminars, and enhancing communication environments through design education and community initiatives. This year’s exhibit follows the successful display of works selected from 'Graphic Design in Japan 2025' that also featured during last year’s event.

In the first-floor gallery, visitors will find a solo exhibition by Hayashi Noriaki, the recipient of the亀倉雄策賞. Hayashi’s work showcases an ongoing series of geometric posters aimed at recruiting students for Joshibi University of Art and Design, reflecting two decades of artistic evolution.
Meanwhile, attendees on the lower floor can explore the outstanding pieces by the 2025 JAGDA新人賞 winners: Jozaki Tetsuro, Chan Sarene, and Matsuda Hirokazu. Their recent works are a testament to their innovative design outlook, inviting viewers into their unique artistic worlds.

Overview of亀倉雄策賞
The亀倉雄策賞 was established in 1999 to honor the contributions of Yusaku Kamekura (1915-1997) to the graphic design community, aiming to advance the art of graphic design. Each year, the award is presented to the creator of an exceptional work from the annual 'Graphic Design in Japan.' This year, Hayashi Noriaki’s latest poster for Joshibi, which has been an ongoing project for 20 years, was chosen based on its long-standing quality and innovation.
With his strong geometric style, Hayashi has consistently refined his expression while keeping the university’s unique brand identity intact. The design has been praised for its artistic stability and freshness.
