SBI Insurance Continues Innovative Training for Educators to Enhance Financial Literacy

SBI Insurance's Commitment to Educator Training

Since 2023, SBI Insurance has consistently conducted its unique training programs for educators, culminating in the latest session held on August 5, 2026. This year, the company welcomed seven teachers from public schools in Suginami, Tokyo, marking four consecutive years of commitment to enhancing financial literacy in education.

The training program included a variety of learning experiences anchored in insurance and risk management concepts. Educators participated in engaging activities such as hands-on learning with card games, visits to the contact center, and workshops designed for simulated interactions. This multifaceted approach of listening, seeing, and experiencing aimed to deepen the educators’ understanding and enhance their skills in financial education.

This year further distinguished itself by integrating a program focused on generative AI, facilitated by the Innovation Promotion Office at SBI Insurance. Participants evaluated the potential applications of generative AI within the educational landscape, along with practical group exercises using Microsoft 365 Copilot. Feedback from attendees illustrated the program's impact, with several teachers noting its potential for use in their curricular activities, including discussions on the risks and benefits of generative AI in classrooms.

President Sho Ono provided insights into the insurance industry and shared SBI Insurance’s core values, emphasizing the company’s ongoing commitment to educational and financial awareness. The training plays a pivotal role in helping educators connect financial concepts with real-world applications, enriching both their teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
