Autumn Lunch and Sweets Buffet at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo
Starting September 24, 2026, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, nestled in the heart of Bunkyo, Tokyo, invites guests to savor an array of seasonal delights at its inaugural "Autumn Lunch and Sweets Buffet." This special event combines the best of Japanese, French, and Chinese cuisines, offering a feast for the senses.
Celebrate Autumn's Bounty
As the crisp fall air ushers in the harvest season, the buffet will showcase vibrant autumn flavors such as chestnuts, persimmons, and Shine Muscat grapes. The goal is to provide visitors with a unique opportunity to indulge in a diverse range of culinary creations, with
23 types of desserts on offer, including
10 original sweets crafted by talented chefs from each culinary tradition.
Each dessert is a homage to autumn, starting with the French offerings of walnut and fig tart, and a delicate pumpkin and vanilla gratin that combines sweet and savory flavors. In the realm of Japanese sweets, guests can enjoy the honey-soaked persimmon warabi mochi and chilled white sweet bean soup enhanced with mascarpone. Chinese sweets include fragrant osmanthus almond jelly and Malaysian-style steamed sponge cake with hints of red oolong tea, rounded off with sesame balls filled with lotus seed paste, made fresh on-site.
A Feast for All Palates
The lunch buffet menu is equally enticing, featuring a variety of dishes. Guests can start with light appetizers like charcuterie, salads, and open sandwiches. For heartier options, creamy penne pasta, rich curry, and a robust vegetable minestrone await. Traditional Japanese cuisine shines with a beautifully arranged chirashi sushi, while the authentic Chinese offerings include savory dim sum and spicy mapo tofu, ensuring everyone finds something to satisfy their cravings.
Signature Desserts
The centerpiece of the dessert station is a large shortcake adorned with Shine Muscat grapes, cut live by the pastry chef before the guests' eyes, almost reminiscent of a wedding cake. To enhance the experience, a freshly whipped chestnut Mont Blanc will also be prepared live, featuring a creamy chestnut filling accompanied by soft, chewy meringue and candied chestnuts. Rounding out the selection are classic French pastries like cannelés and opera cakes, along with a variety of fruit tarts reflecting the seasonal bounty.
This buffet is perfect for gatherings with family, friends, or even a sophisticated girls' day out, allowing diners to leisurely enjoy a mix of flavors and textures across 120 delightful minutes.
