GomSpace Expands Partnership with Unseenlabs through New Microsatellite Order

GomSpace Expands Its Partnership with Unseenlabs

GomSpace, a renowned manufacturer and supplier of small satellite technology, has recently announced a significant milestone in its ongoing collaboration with Unseenlabs. The company has secured a follow-on contract valued at 5.5 million euros (60 million SEK), aimed at the delivery of additional microsatellites. The planned delivery for these satellites is set for the latter half of 2027, reinforcing their shared commitment to enhancing maritime domain awareness.

This new contract builds on previous agreements, including the initial microsatellite order finalized on December 17, 2024, and an Authorization to Proceed (ATP) that came about on March 31, 2026. This recent follow-on order marks the fifth microsatellite contract awarded to GomSpace in a short span of 24 months, underscoring the strong execution of their first program and the robust partnership established with Unseenlabs.

A Testament to Quality and Reliability

Carsten Drachmann, CEO of GomSpace, expressed gratitude for the continued trust Unseenlabs has in their capabilities. He stated, “This follow-on order is a clear validation of the quality, technical maturity, and commitment demonstrated in the first mission. It also highlights our ability to support our customers not only with technology but with a partnership approach that enables their long-term business growth.” This sentiment is mirrored in Unseenlabs’ commitment to transparency and reliability, enabling a seamless planning process without unexpected challenges.

Unseenlabs’ co-founder, Jonathan Galic, emphasized the importance of GomSpace’s collaborative model in aiding their planning and scaling of satellite operations. He praised their consistent dedication to meeting expectations, affirming that such reliability has been instrumental as Unseenlabs seeks to strengthen its position in the maritime surveillance and radio-frequency intelligence markets.

Strengthening the Maritime Segment

This new agreement not only solidifies GomSpace’s standing in the maritime domain but also aligns with their strategic objective of nurturing long-term partnerships to generate regular business through performance and close alignment with customer needs. It showcases the company’s growth trajectory as a global provider of satellite solutions, boasting clientele in over 60 countries.

Founded in 2007, GomSpace operates predominantly through its Danish subsidiary, with additional key operations in Luxembourg, France, and the United States. The company develops advanced systems and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of governments, commercial enterprises, and research institutes venturing into space.

With this new contract, GomSpace is set to enhance Unseenlabs’ capabilities further, supporting their growing clientele in the maritime surveillance sector. This partnership serves as a benchmark for future collaborations, reaffirming the importance of quality, communication, and transparency in the technologically advanced landscape of satellite solutions.

Looking Ahead

As the demand for reliable satellite solutions continues to rise, collaborations like that between GomSpace and Unseenlabs illustrate a model of success built on trust and mutual benefit. This recent contract is not just a win for GomSpace but signifies a step forward in advancing maritime monitoring services, crucial for ensuring safety and security across nautical domains.
