In an exciting development for college athletes, HelloNation and Opendorse have come together to unveil a revolutionary national NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) program. Launched on April 13, 2026, this initiative serves as a creative outlet for athletes, promoting authenticity and connection through storytelling. HelloNation has appointed renowned actor Chris McDonald, famous for his role as Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore, as the national spokesperson for the program. McDonald invites student athletes to participate, framing it as an opportunity to kickstart their media careers rather than just a side gig. “HelloNation provides over 30,000 opportunities across the country,” he states, setting the tone for what participants can expect.
