Resolution Economics Celebrates a Year of Remarkable Growth and Global Expansion

Resolution Economics Marks a Year of Continued Growth and Expansion

Resolution Economics, often referred to as ResEcon, has recently announced a year filled with notable achievements. This year has been characterized by the opening of six new offices, one of them prominently located in Toronto, Canada, alongside the addition of eight new partners to bolster its Financial Advisory Services (FAS) and Labor & Employment (LE) practices.

Significant Developments

The new offices and partnerships underline ResEcon’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities in economic analysis and advisory services. Ali Saad, Ph.D., the Managing Partner at ResEcon, expressed confidence in the firm's trajectory by stating, "Each of these new offices and experienced professionals further enhance the growth ResEcon has been achieving over the past few years. All of them are known for their consistent, high-quality work - a standard that ResEcon has upheld since its founding. We are pleased to expand our footprint and have them as part of our team."

This expansion is not just limited to the domestic front but also extends to international markets, a proactive measure to serve clients engaged in various complex economic and financial disputes. The Toronto office, spearheaded by Tim Zimmerman, M.Acc., and Rick Contorno, MBA, is equipped with a highly credentialed team that specializes in loss quantification, business valuation, forensic accounting, and other key services necessary in today's intricate financial landscape.

U.S. Expansion

In the United States, ResEcon has enhanced its presence significantly. New offices have emerged, particularly in Austin, Texas, where Jeff Andrien now leads operations with over 25 years of expertise in economic damages and valuation. Minneapolis, Minnesota welcomed partner Brad Koranda, who brings extensive experience in financial advisory and forensic accounting, whilst Philadelphia’s addition of Gregory Cowhey promises to strengthen ResEcon's capabilities across various dispute types.

The new Los Angeles office is now home to Maryellen Sebold, who specializes in forensic accounting and fraud investigations. The inclusion of these seasoned professionals positions ResEcon as a leader in delivering high-stakes litigation and regulatory support.

Strengthening Labor & Employment Services

Recognizing the growing need for labor and employment expertise, ResEcon established a new office in Morristown, New Jersey, under the leadership of Partner Josefina Tranfa-Abboud, Ph.D. Her extensive experience in calculating damages in complex class action lawsuit matters will be an asset to clients navigating the legal landscape.

Joining her is Janet Thornton, Ph.D., who adds her expertise in analyzing employment discrimination allegations and wage disputes. The labor and employment division was further bolstered by the involvement of Peggy Stockdale, Ph.D., an industrial organizational psychologist who contributes to ResEcon’s I/O psychology capabilities.

Ali Saad noted, "I am pleased that we've continued to grow in the labor and employment practice, as well as in FAS. There is growing need by employers and law firms for the expertise we can provide. Expanding our pool of professionals positions us even more as a go-to firm for labor and employment services."
