Reju Expands Its Industry Network with Six Textile Factories
Reju, a pioneer in textile regeneration, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with six textile mills to further its mission of creating high-quality fabrics from recycled polyester. This initiative seeks to amplify efforts in the textile value chain and foster a circular economy for textiles on a global scale.
The collaboration includes notable industry players such as A. Sampaio, RDD Textiles, Swisstex Direct, Tintex Textiles, FOV Fabrics, and Utenos. Each of these factories brings a unique set of skills and experiences, contributing to a robust textile production ecosystem. The primary goal of this partnership is to develop and integrate recycled polyester into the global textile supply chain, enhancing sustainability and reducing reliance on virgin materials.
A Closer Look at the Collaborating Mills

Utenos
Utenos Trikotazas integrates over 50 years of textile experience, offering a vertically integrated approach to circular knitting and garment production, which further strengthens the supply chain collaboration.
Goals of the Initiative
The overarching aim of this collaboration is to push recycled polyester further along the supply chain—from raw production at Reju’s future regeneration centers to finished fabrics ready for market launch. Each selected factory plays an integral role in contributing to Reju's circular textile system, facilitating a seamless transition from textile waste to high-quality, market-ready fabrics.
Patrik Frisk, CEO of Reju, states, “Each facility we collaborate with actively contributes to our circular textile ecosystem. As we expand our network of regeneration centers, our capacity to consistently deliver high-quality recycled polyester will grow.”
These partnerships not only promise to enhance production capabilities but also enable Reju to respond effectively to rising market demands, reflected in the growing list of brands eager to collaborate on development projects.
The announcement of these new factories comes on the heels of a successful year for Reju, highlighted by significant funding boosts and the selection of locations for their first North American regeneration center in Rochester, New York, as well as another site in Lacq, France.
A Circular Future
By integrating these mills into their ecosystem, Reju is set to transform recycled materials into tangible products, effectively closing the loop from textile waste to finished fabric. This innovative approach ensures that textile regeneration is not merely a theoretical concept but a practical solution that addresses real market needs.
As Reju continues to build its manufacturing network, it aims to supply high-quality recycled polyester at the scale necessary to facilitate widespread adoption within the industry, thus moving closer to achieving a genuine textile-to-textile circular system.
