2. Presenting research findings, including publishing a research report on the FSA’s website at least once during their tenure.
3. Providing expert advice, particularly in analytical and quantitative aspects needed for improving the quality of financial supervision and administration.
These initiatives are designed to bolster the effectiveness of financial regulatory practices and enhance the quality of oversight.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- - Engage in empirical research related to economics and finance.
- - Possess a qualifying status such as being a professor or associate professor in a relevant department at a Japanese university, being a full-time researcher with equivalent qualifications, or holding a doctoral degree.
- - Alternatively, candidates must demonstrate the necessary skills and capacity to conduct assigned research as determined by the FSA.
Recruitment Details
The FSA will hire a limited number of research fellows under a contractual basis. The terms include compensation for participation based on consultation days with agency staff and additional fees for publications resulting from their research.
