Scout AI Triumphs in the xTechOverwatch Competition

On December 2, 2025, Scout AI Inc. proudly announced its selection as a winner of the highly competitive U.S. Army's xTechOverwatch Competition. This achievement highlights Scout AI's innovation in developing cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance the capabilities of unmanned systems within military operations.

What is the xTechOverwatch Competition?

The xTechOverwatch program was established to scout global innovators and facilitate the transition of pioneering technologies into practical applications that bolster the capabilities of the U.S. Army. Out of more than 600 submissions, only 40 finalists were chosen to attend the Army Human Machine Integration Summit held in Texas in October. Here, they went through rigorous evaluations led by soldiers, ultimately resulting in 20 awards within the framework of the FUZE program, aimed at advancing the Army's Transformation in Contact (TIC).

The Role of Scout AI’s Fury Mobility Agent

At the Summit, Scout AI showcased its remarkable Fury mobility agent, which operates on the NOMAD unmanned ground vehicle platform developed by Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions. An impressive feature of Fury is its camera-only system backed by an advanced learned vision-language-action foundation model, allowing it to integrate visual data, satellite imagery, telemetry, and natural language into its operations. This capability not only enhances navigation and intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) but also enables coordinated multi-robot maneuvers, setting a new standard in terms of adaptability and intelligence compared to traditional autonomy systems.

CEO and Co-Founder of Scout AI, Colby Adcock, expressed his enthusiasm about this victory, stating, “xTechOverwatch is a huge win for Scout AI and an even bigger validation of what Fury makes possible.” He noted that the company is committed to providing capable and user-friendly AI agents that can effectively transform the operations of unmanned systems used by the Army.

The Vision Behind Scout AI

Founded in 2024 by Colby Adcock and Collin Otis, Scout AI operates with a mission to develop and deploy AI agents that are prepared for military operations. Their Fury foundation model is designed to convert uncrewed platforms across ground, air, sea, and even space into smart, cooperative tools that significantly enhance the effectiveness of warfighters. With a base of operations in Sunnyvale, California, Scout AI enjoys backing from prominent investors including Booz Allen Ventures, Align Capital, Draper Associates, and Perot Jain.

An Eye on the Future

As the U.S. Army continues to evolve and embrace technological advancements in defense, Scout AI stands at the forefront, ready to contribute. The company’s successful demonstration at the xTechOverwatch competition not only illustrates its innovation but signals a transformative potential for unmanned systems across various domains. Whether on land, in the air, or at sea, technologies like Scout AI’s Fury represent the future of military operations where collaboration between human soldiers and intelligent machines becomes seamless and effective.
