Recognizing Leadership and Safety Excellence in the Specialty Chemical Sector for 2025

SOCMA Celebrates Safety Leaders in Specialty Chemicals



On November 6, 2025, the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) held its annual Safety Recognition Program Dinner in San Antonio, Texas. This esteemed gathering recognized a select group of individuals and companies dedicated to safety and excellence in the specialty chemical industry. A total of 31 member companies across 56 facilities were honored for their remarkable safety performance and commitment to leadership.

During the event, Vera Stoeva, the interim President and CEO of SOCMA, emphasized the importance of safety in the chemical industry. "SOCMA's Safety Recognition Program shines a light on the companies and individuals who make safety the foundation of their operations. Our members consistently raise the bar in embedding safety into their processes and empowering their employees. We take pride in celebrating their achievements," she stated.

Recognizing Top Companies and Individuals



The 2025 Safety Recognition Program acknowledges companies excelling in five critical safety performance areas: Safety and Risk Management, Operational and Performance Excellence, Training and Development, Incident Management, Employee Involvement, and Innovation and Technology in Safety. Among the individual awards, Tiffany Hiers from Oakwood Products, Inc. was honored as the Trailblazer for her pioneering efforts in safety initiatives. Adam Pingel, a member of the SOCMA Board and Chair of the Advocacy Committee, received the Advocacy Excellence award for his outstanding contributions. Additionally, International Process Plants (IPP) earned the title of Partner of the Year in recognition of its significant support of SOCMA's broader mission.
