On August 29, SERES Group Co., Ltd. unveiled its mid-year results for 2025, demonstrating remarkable growth across its key performance indicators. The company reported an operating revenue of CNY 62.4 billion and a net profit attributable to shareholders of CNY 2.94 billion, representing an 81% year-on-year increase. Furthermore, SERES made a significant investment of CNY 5.12 billion in research and development (R&D), marking a nearly 155% rise from the previous year.
The surge in demand for premium smart electric vehicles, particularly under the AITO brand, played a crucial role in this outstanding performance. This growth is attributed to several factors, including SERES's efficient MF Platform which allows for streamlined model development, the innovative Super Factory that enhances production scalability, and advanced digital-intelligent quality assurance systems. Together, these components create a luxurious experience that bolsters AITO's standing in the marketplace.
Notable models from the AITO series, such as the AITO 9 and AITO 8, have consistently dominated sales. In the first half of 2025, several new launches were introduced, including the AITO 5 Ultra, the 2025 Edition AITO 9, and the AITO 8, all of which received positive feedback from the market and consumers alike. Improvements in the entire value chain have resulted in AITO setting new benchmarks for delivery in China's luxury new energy vehicle sector. As of August 2025, total deliveries for all AITO models exceeded 750,000 units. The AITO 9 alone surpassed 220,000 units in deliveries, claiming the title of the best-selling vehicle in the CNY 500,000 luxury car segment. The AITO 8 achieved a remarkable feat as it quickly became a bestseller with over 70,000 units sold, maintaining the top position in the CNY 400,000 price range for four consecutive months.
In terms of brand perception, AITO ranked first in the Brand Development Confidence Index according to LandRoads' Brand Health Tracking Study for New Energy Vehicles in the first half of 2025. The AITO 9 also excelled in overall new energy vehicle Net Promoter Score (NPS) rankings, achieving a remarkable score of 85.2.
In line with AITO's innovative direction, the company introduced an all-electric version of its flagship family SUV, the AITO 8, on August 25. The debut of the all-new AITO 7 is also anticipated in September, as the brand continues to expand its offerings to cater to the diverse preferences of consumers while reinforcing its leadership position in the luxury new energy vehicle market.
