YeePay Secures EMI License to Bolster European Payment Network
In a significant move for its European expansion, YeePay has officially been granted an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the central bank of the Netherlands. This achievement underscores YeePay's commitment to increasing its regulatory presence in Europe and providing compliant, localized payment services to businesses operating internationally.
As one of the key financial hubs within the European Union, obtaining this EMI license marks a pivotal milestone for YeePay. The senior vice president of YeePay, Terry, emphasized the importance of this license in the context of the company's broader European strategy. With the Netherlands being a strategic center for finance and alongside its existing EMI license in the UK, YeePay aims to further enhance its local presence and regulated service capabilities across Europe.
By leveraging local regulatory capabilities and financial infrastructure, combined with YeePay's global payment network, the company anticipates improving its collection and disbursement capabilities on a worldwide scale. This includes offering local accounts and multi-currency exchange services to cater to international clients and facilitate seamless cross-border transactions.
Terry elaborated on these goals, stating, "Our aim is to deliver an all-in-one payment solution for global cross-border commerce, thereby enhancing cross-border fund flows, optimizing transaction costs, and assisting businesses in their expansion onto European markets and beyond." The company has steadily built a growing portfolio of financial licenses and registrations in several major international markets. These encompass a Money Service Operator license in Hong Kong, a Money Service Business registration in the U.S., and a remittance transmitter registration in Mexico, alongside its EMI licenses in both the UK and the Netherlands.
YeePay's services are extensive, covering over 200 countries and regions with real-time exchange capabilities across more than 100 currencies. This global infrastructure allows the company to facilitate international transactions that grow increasingly complex, catering to the needs of businesses navigating the intricacies of worldwide commerce.
Looking ahead, YeePay plans to nurture partnerships with financial institutions around the globe to solidify its comprehensive cross-border payment offerings. This will encompass international receivables, payouts, currency exchange services, and international accounts, all while adhering to applicable regulatory requirements.
By continually investing in financial technologies and regulatory infrastructure, YeePay aspires to simplify cross-border payments, making them more efficient and accessible to businesses aiming for international growth. With the recent EMI licensing in hand, YeePay is strategically positioned to ensure its clients have the tools needed to thrive in the global marketplace.
