With a robust career spanning more than 20 years in both legal and business domains, Koford steps into this new role with extensive experience. Before joining HealthTrackRx, he served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Healogics, where his expertise proved invaluable in navigating the intricate tapestry of healthcare regulations and driving significant strategic initiatives related to legal and compliance matters.

Koford's credentials are equally impressive; prior to his tenure at Healogics, he was the Vice President and General Counsel for a publicly traded, global medical device and biologics company. There, he managed global legal operations that encompassed various aspects such as intellectual property, regulatory compliance, clinical affairs, and reimbursement policies. His insights during this time helped shape the structure and direction of the legal landscape in which the company operated.

Adding to his dynamic professional background, Koford also practiced at Holland & Knight LLP as part of their International and Cross-Border Transactions Group, specializing in healthcare and life sciences. This experience gives him a well-rounded view of the intersections between law and medicine, an aspect he finds particularly exciting as he transitions into his new role with HealthTrackRx.

Before embarking on his legal career, Koford laid the groundwork in the scientific realm. He began his professional journey by leading a high-throughput DNA sequencing facility at a genomics-based pharmaceutical company. His focus was on overseeing various divisions including chemistry, bioinformatics, and electrophoresis. This foundational experience in molecular biology enriches his approach to legal matters involving scientific advancements, particularly in the domain of diagnostics that HealthTrackRx specializes in.

Koford's educational credentials further accentuate his expertise. He holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Florida, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Molecular Biology from Auburn University. Additionally, he has pursued graduate studies towards a Master’s degree in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. This blend of legal and scientific training equips him uniquely for his role at HealthTrackRx, enabling him to contribute significantly to its success.
