LONGi Achieves AAA Ranking in Q1 2025 PV ModuleTech Ratings

In a significant milestone for the photovoltaic industry, LONGi has successfully maintained its AAA rating in the latest PV-Tech bankability ratings for Q1 2025. This achievement marks the company's outstanding 21st consecutive quarter at this top tier, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and financial stability in solar energy solutions.

The PV ModuleTech bankability ratings are established through an intricate evaluation process that assesses various manufacturers based on key performance indicators. These include value chain strength, production capacity, global shipment profiles, capital expenditures, research and development investments, and effective cash-flow management. LONGi's enduring AAA status is not just a reflection of impressive operational metrics, but also illustrates the company's relentless pursuit of advancing solar technology.

LONGi has built a solid foundation on its extensive technological expertise and cutting-edge intelligent manufacturing capabilities. These strengths have allowed the company to make continuous breakthroughs in High-Power Back Contact (HPBC) technology and forward-thinking research and development initiatives. Following the launch of its next-generation bifacial solar products (BC products) powered by HPBC 2.0 in May 2024, LONGi has secured substantial orders across global markets.

In early April 2025, LONGi signed a significant agreement for a 226MW Hi-MO 9 module supply with a client in Greece, representing the largest BC utility project in Europe to date. Additionally, at the end of March, LONGi entered a framework agreement for Hi-MO X10 module supplies totaling 555MW with several companies at the South Africa International Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Exhibition. This agreement was facilitated by the high energy generation per unit area and admirable anti-shading features of LONGi’s products, which have received exceptional acclaim from partners in Africa.

By the close of Q1 2025, the total global shipments of BC modules exceeded 30GW—a remarkable achievement that further validated LONGi's market leadership. The order backlog for the company has surpassed 40GW, showcasing a strong demand for their cutting-edge technologies. Driven by a mission of technological innovation, LONGi is persistently enhancing the conversion efficiency in both crystalline silicon technology and crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem technology. Notably, the company continues to hold world records in these pivotal categories.

On April 11th, at a presentation in Wuhu, Anhui Province, LONGi announced its groundbreaking advancements in solar cell technology. With certification from the Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) in Germany, its Hybrid Interdigitated-Back-Contact (HIBC) crystalline silicon solar cell achieved a historic photoelectric conversion efficiency of 27.81%. This breakthrough elevates the limits of monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic performance to unprecedented heights. Moreover, LONGi's independently developed two-terminal crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cell reached an extraordinary conversion efficiency of 34.85%, certified by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), setting a new world record for this technology.

The continuity of 21 consecutive AAA ratings not only stands as a robust endorsement of LONGi's reliability but also encapsulates its steadfast commitment to product quality, stable operations, and a long-term vision. Looking ahead, LONGi is dedicated to enhancing its technological prowess and risk resilience while collaborating with global partners to foster a sustainable energy future. This ambitious plan underlines the potential of solar energy technologies in transforming the world's energy landscape.
