The Teruto Network University, located in Mitaka City, Tokyo, is excited to announce its call for the first cohort of residents for the Mitaka Village Atelier, a unique share house specifically designed for young creators. This innovative living space combines shared accommodation with dedicated creative work areas, ideal for those pursuing artistic endeavors.
The building, currently under renovation, is set to welcome its first residents in April 2026. This initiative aims not only to support young creators in their artistic pursuits but also to foster community engagement and revitalization in the area through creative collaboration.
Application Period and Description
The application window for potential residents runs from February 17, 2026, to March 22, 2026. Each room in the share house, which comprises a total of six rooms across three buildings, will be available for rent at a reasonable cost of ¥27,000 to ¥30,000 per month. Additionally, a communal fee of ¥13,000 covers utilities and internet access. Notably, residents will enjoy a free rent period for April, as the availability begins on the 18th.
This project is supported by the efforts of the Mitaka City government, which has lent its property for the creation of this supportive environment designed for aspiring artists. The Teruto Network University oversees the operations and provides various public support to ensure the project’s success.
