Experience a Unique 'Study Abroad' Program Without Flying This Summer!

A Unique International Experience at A-JIS

As Aoba-Japan International School (A-JIS) celebrates its 50th anniversary, it invites children from Kanazawa and the surrounding regions to participate in its Summer Program 2026. Designed for preschool to elementary school students (K4 to G3), this program offers a unique chance to experience the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum without ever boarding a plane.

Three Exciting Learning Opportunities

1. Embrace Global Inquiry-Based Learning

This program provides students with an early taste of the IB's inquiry-based learning approach, which encourages students to ask questions, investigate, think critically, draw conclusions, and express their knowledge. A-JIS's experienced faculty will guide participants through an engaging cycle that includes preparation for learning, challenges with new ideas, deeper exploration, and practical application through play, crafts, and collaboration.

2. Immerse Yourself in English for Seven Hours a Day

This unique summer experience offers a full immersion in English. With all classes conducted in English, students will be immersed in an environment that promotes thinking and playing in English, guided by native-speaking teachers. Even those new to English will find a supportive atmosphere where their growth is nurtured.

3. Connect with Peers from Around the Globe

Participants will have the chance to meet fellow A-JIS students from Tokyo and international guests, creating a vibrant and diverse learning environment right in the heart of Kanazawa. Children will broaden their perspectives and might return home with a newfound eagerness to speak English and connect with friends from overseas.
