Experience the Magic of Alcohol Ink Art at Ginza NAGANO's First Event

Discover the Heavenly Stars of Achi Village through Art

On August 1, 2026, Ginza NAGANO, a hub promoting the wonders of Nagano Prefecture in the heart of Tokyo, will host its inaugural event dedicated to the enchanting starry skies of Achi Village. This workshop, titled "SAKE×ART×NAGANO: Alcohol Ink Art Experience Inspired by the Stars of Achi Village", will see expert instructors from SAKE ART, managed by ARTLIER, lead participants in a creative journey through alcohol ink art while enjoying exquisite local wines and appetizers.

A Journey into Alcohol Ink Art

In this exciting workshop, participants will have the chance to explore the beauty of alcohol ink art, a form of abstract art that celebrates the unpredictability of alcohol and ink interactions. The workshop invites attendees to immerse themselves in the colors and textures created by the blending and expansion of the inks, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations that resemble the splendor of Achi Village's starry nights. With deep navy blues and radiant gradients of light, participants will evoke the imagery of nebulae and galaxies while embracing their free-spirited creativity.

Sip, Paint, and Experience

One of the key elements of this innovative event is the combination of wine and art; a concept that has gained popularity in recent years, especially in Western countries. Participants will savor Nagano wines as they relax and unfurl their artistic talents, stepping away from daily distractions for 90 minutes of enjoyable creativity. Each attendee will create their own unique portrayal of the starry sky through the chemical magic of alcohol inks, ensuring that no two artworks will be alike.

Achi Village: The Place of Starry Skies

Known as the "Village of the Best Starry Skies in Japan", Achi Village is renowned for its breathtaking views of the night sky, with numerous stars twinkling amidst the high altitudes of the surrounding mountains. Each creation during the workshop will be a personal tribute to these captivating skies. While participants are guided by experienced instructors, even those who have never attempted art before can confidently create their masterpieces, which will be framed in original photo frames made from local Nagano timber, making for a cherished keepsake.

Event Details

The event will run in two sessions on August 1, 2026, from 13:30 to 15:00 and from 16:00 to 17:30, with twelve spots available for eager participants. Ideal for individuals aged 20 and older, the cost of admission is a mere 4,800 yen, inclusive of workshops, drinks, appetizers, and the final framed artwork.

Connect with Nature and Culture

Ginza NAGANO serves as a bridge connecting the Tokyo metropolitan area with the rich culture and nature of Nagano. This workshop promises to be an illuminating introduction to the region, cultivating a newfound interest in exploring Achi Village and its enchanting starry skies. This experience not only encapsulates art but also represents a pathway to understanding the unique attributes of Nagano Prefecture, sparking curiosity to visit in person.

The workshop will be led by Kentaro Meguro, CEO of ARTLIER, a company dedicated to merging alcohol and art through interactive experiences.
