Voting Is Open for America's Most Benevolent Beard: Join the Wahl® Contest Today!
Wahl®, a leading name in men's grooming, is back with its exciting fifth annual Benevolent Beards Contest, a celebration of bearded individuals who understand the importance of looking good while doing good. The contest not only honors the art of good grooming but also emphasizes acts of goodwill, contributing to a better community. This year, five finalists were selected from numerous entries to compete for a grand prize of $5,000 for themselves and $20,000 for a charity of their choice. These finalists have showcased their commitment to philanthropy alongside their clever facial hairstyles, capturing the essence of what it means to be benevolent.
The finalists include a diverse group of men from different backgrounds and experiences, each bringing their unique story of advocacy and service. Damon Friedman from Tampa, FL, is a retired Special Warfare Officer who founded SOF Missions, a non-profit aimed at raising awareness of the veteran suicide epidemic. Damon's own struggles with PTSD and the loss of friends to suicide drove him to create a healing program for veterans that offers extensive care for mental and physical trauma.
Another finalist, Mo Wells from Dallas, TX, is a former LSU track athlete turned sports performance mentor who transformed his life after surviving a brain tumor diagnosis. With a passion for helping others, he leverages his experience to inspire athletes and promote health and resilience.
BJ Ganem, a Marine Corps veteran from Reedsburg, WI, founded Sierra Delta, a non-profit dedicated to helping veterans connect with support dogs, fostering a sense of purpose and healing for those who have served.
Robert Cradle from Odenton, MD, has been a barber for 40 years, and now he uses his skills to serve the homeless, providing grooming through his Rob's Barbershop Community Foundation. This initiative aims to bring essential grooming services to underserved communities.
Lastly, Brian Schwartz from Wayne, NJ, started I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc., a grassroots effort to help veterans and seniors maintain their homes who need an extra hand. His simple act of kindness has blossomed into a nationwide movement involving over 1,800 volunteers.
The Wahl® Benevolent Beards Contest is a fantastic opportunity not just to recognize these inspiring individuals but also to engage the public in the voting process. Voting is open until September 18, 2026, enabling fans and supporters to cast their votes for their favorite bearded hero. To participate, individuals can visit the contest page and follow Wahl on social media for updates.
Beyond the individual stories, this contest highlights the broader mission of Wahl® to promote charitable engagement and community service through its platform. It emphasizes the significant impact that well-groomed individuals can have when they channel their energy into making positive changes within their communities.
In addition to the prizes, the winner will receive a visit from the Wahl® Mobile Barbershop, providing free grooming services at a local charity event. This special feature is designed to raise awareness and provide support to the selected charity in a fun and engaging way.
As Wahl® continues to redefine grooming standards and encourage men to embrace their styles with confidence, this contest stands as a testament to the continuous effort to uplift communities while celebrating unique personal expressions.
