MIRARTH Holdings Marks Cambodia National Day at 2025 Expo with Nut Processing Agreement

MIRARTH Holdings Celebrates Cambodia National Day

On July 5, MIRARTH Holdings, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, facilitated a historic signing ceremony at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. The event marked Cambodia National Day and showcased a Letter of Intent (LOI) signed with the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce. This partnership aims to bolster the Cambodian cashew industry significantly.

Within this initiative, MIRARTH’s subsidiary, MIRARTH Greentech, also executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with various distributors, further solidifying sales agreements to promote the cashew business.

Contributions to Cambodia’s Economy

The mission of MIRARTH Holdings extends beyond merely exporting cashew nuts. The group is committed to establishing a processing facility in Cambodia, creating jobs and contributing to the economic growth of the region. Cambodia ranks among the world's top producers of cashew nuts; however, the majority of its output is exported in unprocessed form. By participating in this venture, MIRARTH aims to support local employment, stimulate economic independence, and explore the renewable energy potential of cashew shells through biomass fuel initiatives.

Signing Ceremony Highlights

The signing ceremony took place at the National Day Hall at the Expo, beginning at 3:00 PM with the arrival of VIP guests and delegations. Key moments included remarks from Kazuichi Shimada, CEO of MIRARTH Holdings, and Samhen Bola, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia. The LOI signing was a pivotal part of the event, symbolizing the deepening partnership between Japan and Cambodia.

The atmosphere was vibrant and celebratory, as industry leaders, including FamilyMart and other notable Japanese companies, signed MOUs to collaborate in promoting Cambodian cashew products in Japan. In a gesture of goodwill, the Cambodian government presented appreciation certificates and flowers to these partners.

Remarks from Cambodian Officials

Minister Samhen Bola emphasized the significance of the day for Cambodia's agricultural sector and cashew industry. He noted that the agreements signed represent Cambodia's strong potential and sustainability in the global market, moving towards a more robust cashew production and processing sector.

He expressed gratitude for the partnerships with Japanese companies, underscoring the commitment to enhance investment, technology, and processing within the industry.

MIRARTH Holdings’ Vision

Kazuichi Shimada highlighted that the event reflects a historical and meaningful collaboration between Cambodia and Japan, aiming for a sustainable societal future. He reiterated that MIRARTH’s approach goes beyond exporting cashews, as they aim to develop local economies by fostering job creation and enhancing renewable energy projects.

The completion of the LOI is considered a significant milestone, representing a new phase in Japan-Cambodia relations, and Shimada hopes this partnership will flourish, facilitating sustainable progress in both nations.

Future Endeavors
