Okayama University Engages Future Engineers at Special Event
On October 3, 2025, the Okayama University Engineering Faculty hosted an informative session aimed at first-year high school students and their parents at Okayama Gakugeikan High School. Over 300 participants, including students and faculty members, attended this significant event.
Designed specifically for first-year students who are preparing to choose their academic tracks between arts and sciences, this session sought to illuminate the educational experiences within the science disciplines and provide valuable guidance for making informed career choices. Professor Minoru Watanabe, head of the Information Engineering Course within the Faculty of Engineering, was one of the keynote speakers. He started with a comprehensive introduction to Okayama University, followed by insights into the essence of the Engineering Faculty, the distinctive features of each department, and future career prospects available within these fields.
During his speech, Professor Watanabe underscored how the specialized knowledge acquired within the engineering program serves as an
