Earth Pharmaceutical and Its Charity Initiative at the EARTH MONDAMIN CUP 2026

Earth Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo and led by President Katsuyoshi Kawabata, has announced an impactful charity initiative in collaboration with TGP NPO. This initiative will take place during the upcoming EARTH MONDAMIN CUP 2026, scheduled from June 25 to 28 at the Camellia Hills Country Club in Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture. The aim is to provide menstrual supplies and comprehensive menstrual education for local children.

The Purpose Behind the Initiative and Last Year's Achievements

The concept behind this year's charity effort is "The joy of playing leads to the comfort of children." It involves a partnership among golfers, corporations, and NPOs to create a better society. Last year, at the 2025 competition, Earth Pharmaceutical donated a total of 1,160,000 yen to TGP NPO based on the number of birdies made on the final day (232 birdies each multiplied by 5,000 yen). This contribution enabled the provision of a year's supply of sanitary napkins and storage boxes to 12 elementary and middle schools in Sodegaura City, the event's host location. Additionally, direct visits were made to five middle schools, where napkin dispensers were installed, along with funding for educational materials and comprehensive sex education programs.

Many students expressed heartfelt gratitude through touching feedback, saying things like, "Knowing that there are always napkins available in the restroom alleviated my anxiety about attending school during my period." Another student shared, "I still remember the golf competition I participated in during elementary school and was thrilled to hear that donations were made to our school from that event." Another participant reflected, "I always thought that discussions about sex were embarrassing, but this class changed my perspective."

Charity Plans for the 2026 Event

Continuing the momentum, the EARTH MONDAMIN CUP 2026 will feature similar donation initiatives closely tied to player performance. Like last year, the final day's birdie count will again determine the total donation to TGP NPO, with 5,000 yen per birdie.

The goal is to create a charitable environment where the joy experienced from the player's efforts translates into smiles for children. Through this warm initiative, Earth Pharmaceutical aims to intertwine the essence of the tournament brand with the resolution of social issues, contributing towards corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Riko Higashio, Chairwoman of TGP NPO, emphasized the significance of students learning about their bodies at a young age. By providing free sanitary products and information in the easily accessible school restrooms, the initiative seeks to promote better health management for the future. Understanding one’s own body is a crucial first step, especially for elementary and middle school students experiencing their first periods. TGP NPO will continue its efforts, collaborating with local communities, businesses, and medical institutions to ensure that children can envision a healthy future.
