Flect Secures Major Contract for HR System Management

In a significant move, Flect, a leading cloud integrator based in Minato, Tokyo, has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan. This contract, which is effective from April 1, 2026, to March 29, 2030, involves the management and maintenance of the ministry's Human Resource (HR) Information Database and Attendance Management System. The contract is expected to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within METI through effective data utilization.

The scope of the contract includes the continued operation of the HR Information Database, which has been in use since fiscal year 2020. This database is crucial as it centralizes information about the ministry's employees, streamlining HR-related tasks. In conjunction with this, Flect will also be responsible for the attendance management system, which leverages the comprehensive employee data to ensure a more efficient approach to tracking and managing attendance.

Flect aims to deliver comprehensive services, encompassing everything from the operation and maintenance of the systems to necessary functional enhancements and modifications. This includes overseeing the integration of the systems currently constructed within the Salesforce ecosystem, which also incorporates back-office operations and license management.

One of the highlights of this new contract is the migration to the Government Solutions Service (GSS), a standardized operational environment introduced by the Digital Agency of Japan. Flect has been recognized for its achievements and expertise in multi-cloud technologies, especially in facilitating the transition to GSS. This will also involve the implementation and operational management of an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, ensuring effective data linkage between the HR Information Database and GSS, thereby signaling a new era of digital efficiency for government operations.

The Ministry of Economy has set its sights on improving human resource operations through better data utility, which is crucial for the modernization of public sector services. Flect's ongoing support will be pivotal in achieving these goals by mitigating operational costs and enhancing workflow efficiency.

As the company deepens its involvement with government operations, Flect's commitment to providing user-friendly public administration services remains steadfast. This contract not only showcases Flect’s capabilities as a top-tier cloud integrator but also reflects its dedication to transforming customer experiences through innovative digital solutions.

Since its establishment in August 2005, Flect has cultivated extensive expertise in integrating various cloud technologies, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Auth0. The company is recognized for its excellence in creating diverse solutions tailored to meet customer needs and has received top-tier partner certifications for major cloud services.

Flect continues to strive towards advancing digital transformation by focusing on enhancing revenue and customer engagement through the innovative use of technology. Their approach, termed as “offensive DX,” involves reimagining customer interactions, products, and business models to cultivate new and engaging customer experiences.

Flect’s CEO, Yoshitomo Kurokawa, expressed enthusiasm about this new opportunity, stating, “We are dedicated to supporting METI in achieving its efficiency and data utility goals, and we look forward to integrating cutting-edge solutions that benefit the public sector.”

With a headquarters in the Tokyo Shiodome Building and a professional team committed to excellence in cloud integration services, Flect is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the field of public administration through this new partnership with the Ministry of Economy.
