Join the Cultural Movement: DO REPAIRS Vol. 4

The circular creative community, NewMake, operated by STORY&Co., is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming DO REPAIRS vol.4 event, taking place in the vibrant neighborhoods of Shibuya and Harajuku from October 24 to 26, 2025. This year marks the fourth iteration of this extraordinary repair event, featuring the collaboration of 27 brands and organizations, all uniting to promote a culture of repair throughout the city.

DO REPAIRS is not just an event; it’s a celebration of a shared vision that brings together a multitude of brands, creators, students, and volunteers who advocate for the idea of “repairing to use.” The act of repairing transcends merely restoring functionality; it symbolizes reconnecting memories and affections tied to our belongings. This event aims to narrate the stories that bond people to objects, brands to neighborhoods, and the past to future generations.

NewMake aligns perfectly with this philosophy, and at its base in Omotesando and Harajuku, the NewMake Labo will host two engaging workshops: Self-Repair Workshops and Patch Customization Experiences. These sessions will allow participants to discover the joy of repairing, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance cultural participation in the Harajuku area.

NewMake Event Offerings

1. Self-Repair Workshops (Reservations Required / Participation Fee ¥1,000)
- Venue: NewMake Labo (Harajuku Area)
- Details: Participants will experience repairs through sewing machines, hand sewing, or darning. Under the guidance of local repair staff, they can get assistance with tasks like button sewing, hem adjustments, and patching holes.
- Reservation Method: Participants can sign up through the reservation site.

2. Patch Customization Experience (No Reservation Needed / Participation Fee for Patches)

- Details: Participants can customize their items by applying patches sold at NewMake. An event-exclusive original patch by the registered student organization “Innovation Around20” from Aoyama Gakuin University will be available for purchase.
