On July 15, 2025, AGS Group, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, announced a significant enhancement of its services in Vietnam through the partnership with I-GLOCAL Group, the first Japanese accounting firm in the country, joining the ASTHOM Partners global accounting network. This collaboration aims to provide meticulous support tailored to local conditions in Vietnam, further solidifying AGS's position as an integral supporter of Japanese companies' global activities.

Background of the Partnership

Vietnam stands out as one of the most vibrant economies in Southeast Asia, characterized by a dynamic diplomatic approach that engages with various nations flexibly. The country has signed numerous Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs), facilitating consistent economic growth driven predominantly by foreign investments and exports, especially in the manufacturing sector.

As of 2024, there are 2,543 Japanese corporate bases in Vietnam, making it the fifth-largest host country for Japanese companies in Asia, trailing only Singapore. JETRO’s latest survey on Japanese companies operating overseas reveals a bright outlook for Vietnam, with 56.1% of firms indicating plans for business expansion in the next one to two years.

However, foreign enterprises face challenges such as unclear legal frameworks and regulatory operations in Vietnam, leading to unexpected time and financial burdens. With over 20 years of practical experience and expertise in local laws and business practices, the inclusion of I-GLOCAL in the ASTHOM network will enable AGS and I-GLOCAL to better support clients navigating these complexities.
