Welcome to Rebun Saryo Hotel's 2026 Season
Rebun Saryo Hotel, located on the stunning Rebun Island in Hokkaido, is thrilled to announce the opening of its 2026 season starting from May 20, and is now accepting reservations for guests eager to explore this picturesque destination. Known as Japan's northernmost island, Rebun Island is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, unique culinary offerings, and rich cultural heritage. The hotel serves as a gateway to immerse yourself in the island's unparalleled beauty and charm.
Connecting with Island Living
The vision of Rebun Saryo is to be more than just a place to stay; it aims to establish a serene connection with the island's unique rhythms and local lifestyle. Rebun Island, often referred to as the “floating flower island,” boasts around 300 varieties of alpine plants that can only be found here, alongside vibrant local traditions and the enduring fishing culture. At Rebun Saryo, we weave the island's stories and landscapes into our guest experiences, making each stay a deep dive into the sea of culture.
Feedback from guests over the past 2025 season indicated a desire for a deeper connection to the island, with many wishing to unwind and embrace the leisurely pace of island life. In response, Rebun Saryo is proud to enhance its offerings for the 2026 season with new ocean-view rooms, immersive experiences within the hotel, and a concierge service dedicated to guiding guests into the heart of the island. We propose a series of “connecting” experiences that will gradually bridge the gap between our guests and Rebun Island throughout their stay.
Premium Ocean View Rooms
One of the key upgrades for the 2026 season includes the expansion of premium ocean-view rooms overlooking Rishiri Fuji, a majestic landmark of the region. Scheduled for renovation in 2024, these rooms aim to welcome guests with views not merely to gaze at but to indulge in—allowing them to witness the ever-changing light and sea reflections that define the serene Rebun experience. Note that while the total room count remains at 100, some existing room types will be renovated to enhance the ocean view.
Concierge Desk for Island Exploration
To deepen guests' understanding and connection with the island, a new concierge desk will be installed within the hotel. Collaborating with knowledgeable local guides, this service will develop activities and experiences starting from the hotel, along with providing information that enhances the quality of each guest's journey. Through this initiative, visitors can explore the island’s unique offerings while creating unforgettable memories.
Souvenirs and Remembrances
The hotel's shop will receive a fresh makeover, creating a tempting space for guests to browse and purchase unique gifts and local products. We will expand our range of hotel-exclusive items inspired by the island’s flora and eco-system, particularly the “-Rebun Hana Zukan-” product lineup, featuring items like premium fabric handkerchiefs and socks designed to reflect the island's majestic alpine flowers. This initiative not only allows guests to choose their memories but also enriches their overall experience during their stay.
