Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Tokyo Unveils Chocolate Journey Inspired by Memories

A Sensory Journey through Chocolate at Gucci Osteria

Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Tokyo has recently announced an exciting new limited collection of chocolates, featuring eight distinct flavors. Each chocolate is a piece of art that encapsulates head chef Raffaella De Vita's personal journey, weaving together gastronomic experience, memories, and aromas.

Inspired by her Italian roots and refined through experiences in Japan, this collection serves as a bridge between two culinary cultures. The fusion of everyday ingredients, nostalgic flavors from her hometown, and new tastes discovered in Japan gives birth to eight unique flavors, each telling its own story. The collection includes: lavender, limoncello, sake, wasabi, hazelnut with miso, coffee, salty pistachio, and vincotto.

Each chocolate is not merely a variety of tastes but a mapping of Raffaella's journey—a sensory narrative reflecting her past and present. For example, lavender draws inspiration from one of her favorite scents, gently uplifted by subtle honey nuances. Limoncello features a dark chocolate base enhanced with refreshing citrus sweetness using a family recipe, encapsulating her culinary heritage.

The chocolate embodying sake encapsulates rich rice notes and vibrant fruit essences, representing the chef's instincts cultivated through her daily cooking. Wasabi introduces a playful contrast, where spicy notes harmoniously balance with white chocolate, enhanced by lime zest and Maldon salt for a refreshing finish. The combination of hazelnut and miso captures the essence of both cultures—where Italy's rich flavors beautifully intertwine with Japan's delicate umami.

The coffee chocolate evokes the cherished ritual of daily caffeine, transformed into a vibrant and energizing bite. Salty pistachio emphasizes texture, with a delightful combination of white chocolate and crunchy ganache. Finally, vincotto—a traditional sweet from the chef's hometown in Puglia—merges concentrated grape juice with almond praline, providing a soft and rich lingering finish.

This exclusive collection will be available starting January 28, 2026, both in stores and online, priced at 7,560 yen (tax included).
