Risen Energy and Ascania Energy Join Forces for Solar and Energy Storage in Ukraine



In a groundbreaking move for renewable energy in Ukraine, Risen Energy and Ascania Energy have entered into two significant memoranda of understanding aimed at advancing solar power and energy storage initiatives in the region. With plans targeting a cumulative capacity of up to 100 MW for solar energy and 200 MWh for energy storage, this partnership not only signifies a step forward for the companies but also meets the growing demand for decentralized energy solutions within Ukraine.

The Strategic Collaboration



The agreement was signed by Jerry Qin, President of Risen Energy for Europe, and Yevhenii Piatko, General Director and Co-owner of Ascania Energy, with attendees that included Ehor Yarmolenko, Chief Technical Officer of Ascania Energy. This collaboration will focus on developing new generating capacities and flexible solutions that ensure improved reliability in power supply across Ukraine.

The enhancement of solar energy storage capabilities is crucial as it supports increased power distribution, facilitates better integration of renewable resources, and aids businesses during periods of grid restrictions. Ascania Energy is well-positioned within Ukraine's energy landscape, managing the entire value chain from project development to engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), along with energy management, trading, and direct power supply.

Risen Energy’s Technological Contributions



Risen Energy, a leader in photovoltaic solutions, provides high-efficiency solar modules, energy storage systems, and advanced inverters alongside intelligent energy management. The company has demonstrated significant manufacturing capability, with cumulative shipments of solar modules surpassing 121.4 GW and energy storage systems exceeding 10 GWh across more than 90 countries by the second quarter of 2026.

Risen has made notable contributions to Ukraine's solar sector, supplying modules for 12 solar projects including the 323 MW Pokrovska Solar Power Plant, enriching its experience in product adaptation, delivery, and local service provisions. This foundation supports large-scale applications of solar energy storage systems and monitoring solutions worldwide.

Insights and Future Plans



Recently, a delegation from Ascania Energy visited Risen Energy's intelligent manufacturing facility to explore opportunities related to the production, testing, and quality management of photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions. During the discussions, specific attention was given to the Hyper-ion Pro heterojunction modules, recognized for their high power output, efficiency, and longevity, as well as eTron liquid-cooled energy storage systems designed for large-scale urban applications.

Both companies plan to continue collaborating on project development, localization of products, engineering training, after-sales service, and capacity building. This strategic partnership aims to blend Risen Energy's technological innovations and capabilities with Ascania Energy's extensive local expertise, thereby facilitating the deployment of solar energy storage systems in Ukraine effectively.
