Mill Creek Residential, a prominent developer and owner-operator known for its investment management in premier rental housing across the United States, recently announced the appointment of Brent Elkins as their new Executive Managing Director. Setting up his base in the company's Boston office, Elkins is set to play a vital role in shaping the company’s strategic plans and enhancing investor engagement both domestically and internationally.

David Reynolds, President of Investment Management at Mill Creek, expressed enthusiasm about Elkins joining the team, highlighting his extensive experience with leading real estate companies. Brent Elkins comes to Mill Creek with a wealth of experience in the realms of residential real estate, investment management, and capital markets. His most recent role was as the head of real estate capital partnerships at Avenue One, where he focused on developing specialized investment programs for institutions that sought to build national single-family rental portfolios as well as implement multiple build-to-rent strategies.

Before his tenure at Avenue One, Elkins amassed over 15 years of experience leading global capital efforts at major firms such as Beacon Capital Partners, BlackRock Real Estate, and Colony Capital, which is now known as DigitalBridge. Additionally, he's held senior positions in principal investing and investment banking with Morgan Stanley, and served as both an acquisition officer and portfolio manager at AMB, which has merged with Prologis.

Elkins holds a bachelor's degree with high honors from Princeton University, along with an MBA from Harvard Business School.
