Agoda Reinforces Commitment to Japanese Travelers and Partners

Agoda, the digital travel platform, is significantly enhancing its commitment to Japanese travelers and accommodation partners. By working closely with the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), Agoda is continuously improving its platform functionalities, making it more user-friendly and accessible. As part of this initiative, Agoda has also inaugurated a new office at the Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Tokyo, showcasing its long-term investment in the Japanese market.

Enhanced Accuracy and User Experience

One of the notable advancements includes the introduction of an AI-driven tool designed to identify and rectify content discrepancies proactively. This technology assures a smoother user experience for both travelers and accommodation providers. In the new system, any inappropriate pricing will be automatically flagged and blocked, ensuring that customer support representatives can promptly correct inaccuracies in room details. This robust functionality reinforces Agoda's commitment to enhancing service delivery and reliability for its users.

Stricter Compliance Policies

In a bid to foster trust and accountability, Agoda has tightened its compliance framework for third-party suppliers working with Japanese accommodations. The revised contracts include more stringent penalties for any violations, reflecting Agoda's dedication to maintaining a secure platform that both partners and travelers can rely on.

Strengthening Support Infrastructure

Agoda is also ramping up its support infrastructure by offering 24/7 customer support in Japanese. This enhanced system ensures that travelers receive comprehensive assistance whenever they encounter issues, particularly during check-ins. The company is committed to continuous improvements in customer service quality, aiming to provide superior experiences for all users.

These improvements are the result of a special task force led by Agoda's CEO, Omri Morgenshtern, working alongside the JTA and accommodation partners.

CEO Omri Morgenshtern’s Remarks

Commenting on these developments, CEO Omri Morgenshtern stated, "A true partner openly communicates not only the good but also areas for improvement. I sincerely appreciate the advice from the JTA and our numerous partners, which has enabled us to offer Japanese travelers an even safer and more beneficial booking experience with Agoda."

Opening of New Office in Toranomon Hills

In addition to strengthening its digital platform, Agoda is focused on expanding its operational base in Japan. Recently, the company opened a new office in the Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Tokyo. This location is strategically positioned in one of Tokyo's prime business districts, symbolizing Agoda's long-term commitment to the Japanese market.

Alongside the Tokyo office, Agoda has established a presence in Osaka and designated a dedicated customer care team in Yokohama. The company continues to forge robust relationships with its Japanese accommodation partners. Recently, a strategic session was held involving Agoda's global leadership team and Japanese hotel operators to further strengthen these ties. Moreover, Agoda and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) have co-hosted sustainability training sessions for industry stakeholders, supporting the development of a more sustainable tourism industry in Japan.
