GAC’s Impressive Showcase at the International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo 2025 in Hong Kong



On June 12, 2025, the much-anticipated International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo opened its doors in Hong Kong, where GAC unveiled a remarkable lineup of eight flagship models, including the debut of the AION UT. This event represents a significant commitment from GAC to the global automotive market, particularly in the production of right-hand drive vehicles that cater to Southeast Asia and beyond.

Highlighted Models


Among the vehicles presented, four have already gained traction in Hong Kong. The AION Y PLUS stands out for its dedication to quality and safety as well as its impressive long-range capabilities. Its fully collapsible seats are designed for versatility in use. Meanwhile, the AION V emphasizes high quality and advanced technology aimed at family use, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all.

The HYPTEC HT, a luxurious and intelligent battery-electric SUV, is designed with sleek aesthetics and features like seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions, elevating the travel experience to new heights. The E9 PHEV, making waves since its launch in Hong Kong in 2024, has generated hundreds of orders and has emerged as a best-seller in the new-energy van segment thanks to its blend of luxury and robust performance.

AION UT: A Step Forward


The AION UT, a strategic global model for GAC, made its regional debut at the expo. Created by the GAC Design Center in Milan, the AION UT is distinguished by a bold aesthetic, spacious interior, and a cutting-edge AI voice assistant. Complying with both Chinese and European five-star safety standards, this model promises to deliver a stylish and smart all-electric option for urban consumers. It is slated to hit the Hong Kong market within this year.

Expansion Plans


The vehicles introduced at this expo are also strategically positioned to tap into the global right-hand drive market, which accounts for approximately 30% of worldwide vehicle sales. In light of this, GAC is ramping up its overseas production capabilities. The inauguration of a smart factory in Indonesia on June 12 marks a critical step in extending GAC’s presence across the ASEAN region.
