These hands-on learning experiences are not only educational but are perfect for making lasting summer memories. Mark your calendars for a fantastic journey into the wonders of science!

Event Overview

Program No. 1: Summer Kids Seminar

Topic: The Secrets of Colors
Prepare to be amazed as students discover how colors can be separated in fascinating ways. This fun seminar is aimed at children between 3rd and 6th grades, encouraging curiosity and exploration!

• - Date: July 24, 2024 (Monday)

- Session 1: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
- Session 2: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
- Session 3: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

(Note: All sessions cover the same material, so select whichever one is most convenient!)

• - Target Audience: 3rd to 6th Grade Students (Parental supervision required)
• - Total Participation Slots: 60 groups (20 per session)
• - Location: Tokyo Metropolitan Health and Safety Research Center, 3-24-1 Hyakunincho, Shinjuku City

Program No. 2: Food Safety Kids Investigation Team

Topic: Knockout Food Poisoning with the Shiny Operation!
Join the investigation team as participants learn the importance of handwashing through interactive experiments!

• - Date: July 29, 2024 (Wednesday)

- Session 1: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Session 2: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

(Note: All sessions cover the same material, so select whichever one is most convenient!)

• - Target Audience: 3rd to 5th Grade Students (Parental supervision required)
• - Total Participation Slots: 72 groups (36 per session)
• - Location: Obirin University, Shinjuku Campus, 3-23-1 Hyakunincho, Shinjuku City (next to the Tokyo Metropolitan Health and Safety Research Center)

Program No. 3: Children's Pharmacy Experience

Topic: I Want to Be a Pharmacist!
Children will gain insight into the significance of medicines through quizzes and hands-on experiences as 'junior pharmacists'.

• - Date: July 31, 2024 (Friday)

- Session 1: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Session 2: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

• - Target Audience: 3rd to 5th Grade Students (Parental supervision required)

Results of the draw will be announced via email by July 17, 2024. Please note that if demand exceeds capacity, we will conduct a random lottery. For fairness, each family can only win one slot regardless of how many programs they apply for.

2. Event activities and photographs may be featured later on the Tokyo Metropolitan website and related social media platforms.
