Prize Details

The 2026 Heroes of the Classroom program boasts an impressive prize pool totaling over $50,000. This includes a Grand Prize of $10,000 awarded to one outstanding teacher, with their school additionally receiving a $5,000 contribution and a year's supply of Kleenex® Brand Tissues. Additionally, nine First Prize winners will receive $1,000 each, both for themselves and for their respective schools. Furthermore, nominators for both Grand and First Prize winners will also get $1,000 Costco Shop Cards, while the first 100 unique eligible teachers nominated will enjoy a $100 Costco Shop Card each.

How to Nominate

To participate in this commendable contest, nominators must be aged 18 or older and should answer three questions about the nominee's positive influence in no more than 300 words each. Only educators actively teaching at public or private K-12 schools in the United States or Washington, D.C. during the 2026-2027 school year are eligible. The selection process will assess originality, the demonstrated strength and kindness of the nominees, and their overall positive impact.
