Din Tai Fung® Expands Its Culinary Legacy to Scottsdale, Arizona

Din Tai Fung®, a celebrated name in Taiwanese cuisine, is set to make its much-anticipated debut in Arizona. Known internationally for its masterfully crafted Xiao Long Bao (also referred to as soup dumplings), this iconic restaurant is opening its doors in the vibrant city of Scottsdale. The new location will not only bring an authentic dining experience to the area but also create over 300 job opportunities, enhancing the local hospitality scene.

A Grand Welcome to Scottsdale

The upcoming Din Tai Fung restaurant will be situated at 7014 E Camelback Rd inside the Scottsdale Fashion Square. With a soft opening slated for March 12, guests can look forward to an upscale yet approachable culinary journey that embodies the brand's tradition of excellence in both food and service. The grand opening is scheduled for April 20, 2026.

Starting today, potential diners can make reservations through the brand’s website. To ease the transition for local patrons, the restaurant will offer a phased opening plan. Takeout orders will become available from March 16, with delivery services launching on March 30. Walk-in availability and phone-in orders will commence on April 6.

Career Opportunities in Hospitality

As part of its launch, Din Tai Fung is rolling out a local hiring initiative, actively seeking applications for various roles, including servers, cooks, and bartenders. Committed to nurturing a people-first culture, Din Tai Fung prioritizes employee well-being and career development.

The restaurant’s focus on growth is evident in its plans to open a second Arizona location in the Chandler Fashion Center next year. The initiative aims to enrich the dining landscape while expanding job opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The Essence of Din Tai Fung Experience

Famous for creating memorable dining experiences rooted in Taiwanese heritage, Din Tai Fung aspires to deliver consistent excellence across food, service, and ambiance. The Scottsdale venue, a spacious 10,000 square feet accommodating 340 guests, is designed to provide an authentic, elegant dining experience.

The interior combines refined design elements such as gold accents, cream and wood tones, and modern materials like stone and glass to create a welcoming atmosphere. An intimate bar adds a touch of sophistication with its careful architectural details, nodding to the essence of the surrounding desert landscape.

Additionally, the dining area's centerpiece is a sculptural tree that symbolizes growth and community connection, fostering a warm and inviting setting for conversation and enjoyment.

Culinary Artistry at Its Peak

Since the restaurant's inception in the 1970s, Din Tai Fung has perfected the art of crafting Xiao Long Bao. The delicate dumplings are known for their 18 folds and perfect filling ratios—a tradition that has garnered culinary acclaim worldwide. Guests can also savor an array of delectable dishes, including the popular Chocolate Mochi Xiao Long Bao, Cucumber Salad, Spicy Wontons, and the intriguing Pear Lychee Martini.

To commemorate its opening, Din Tai Fung will introduce a new menu item—Steak Fried Noodles—available during the launch and rolling out to all locations later in the year.

A Vision for the Future

As it embarks on this exciting chapter in Arizona, Din Tai Fung remains dedicated to setting high standards in dining and hospitality. Founded in Taiwan in 1958, the brand has grown into a global culinary icon with over 165 locations across 13 countries, renowned for its commitment to quality, consistency, and warm hospitality. Each Din Tai Fung location aims to celebrate cultural connections and foster community around dining tables.
