XCMG Celebrates Inspiring Stories of Female Heroes on International Women’s Day 2025

As we approach International Women’s Day 2025, themed "For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment," XCMG Machinery is taking a significant stand by celebrating the achievements and journeys of women across the globe in the predominantly male construction industry. Through the sharing of inspiring stories, XCMG aims to honor the women who are breaking through barriers and making remarkable contributions to their fields.

One standout figure is Işil Kanyilmaz, Marketing Director for XCMG Turkey, who has led her small team to become a fully-fledged company with many employees over the last three years. She reflects on the unique challenges women face in the construction sector: "My journey at XCMG has been one of resilience, determination, and growth. Witnessing the contributions we can make in this evolving field is immensely satisfying. I urge all young women dreaming to work in male-dominated sectors to pursue their ambitions without fear."

During the 2024 Komatek exhibition, Kanyilmaz and her team showcased their hard work and dedication, marking a historic moment for XCMG Turkey, and setting a standard for excellence. Her message encourages women in the industry to trust their capabilities and to understand their potential for great influence.

Meanwhile, in Brazil, Karen Souza has been making strides at XCMG for over three years. Transitioning from a business analyst to an international business analyst, she now oversees exports to Chile, Colombia, Guyana, and the United States. Notably, she was recognized as one of the top 30 employees in 2023 due to her role in achieving record exports for the company. "Navigating cultural differences can be challenging, particularly with language barriers. However, enhancing my English communication skills has opened many doors, such as participating in XCMG's Season 9 Apprenticeship and Global Training programs. I was particularly impressed by the warmth of the Chinese people during my visit and by the advanced technology in XCMG's factories," said Souza.

Angela Gustiwong, a marketing knowledge specialist at XCMG Indonesia, joined the company in July 2024. She participated in the Season 9 Apprenticeship as well, highlighting that the program not only provided technical knowledge about XCMG products but also facilitated a unique cultural and professional exchange. Gustiwong stated, "At XCMG, we recognize the invaluable contributions of our female employees and are committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering work environment. No matter the cultural differences, professionalism is maintained at a high standard across the globe, where clarity in communication, effective collaboration, and a strong work ethic are expected."
