Shelley Bausch Joins Kennametal's Board of Directors

Kennametal Inc. has made a significant move by announcing the appointment of Shelley Bausch to its Board of Directors, effective May 1, 2025. Serving as a key member of the board, Bausch brings with her a wealth of experience accumulated over more than thirty years in the global manufacturing sector.

She is set to take the position that will soon be vacated by Cindy L. Davis, who has been with the company since November 2012 and is expected to retire on September 1, 2025. The transition marks a new chapter for Kennametal as it continues to evolve in the competitive industrial space.

William M. Lambert, Chairman of Kennametal’s Board, expressed confidence in Bausch’s track record and extensive background in the industry, noting her history of successful leadership in driving growth and implementing effective strategies. "Shelley has an impressive record, and we believe she will be an excellent addition to our Board of Directors," Lambert stated.

Bausch previously held the position of President for Global Industrial Coatings at Axalta, a prominent player in the coatings industry. In this role, she led diverse sectors including energy solutions, general industrial, and powder coatings. Her leadership there was instrumental in expanding Axalta’s reach into new markets, thereby showcasing her ability to thrive in competitive environments.

Prior to her role at Axalta, Bausch held leadership positions at Carlisle Companies and PPG Industries. At Carlisle, she directed operations in the Asia Pacific region and the Fluid Technologies business unit, which involved multiple applications across industries like aerospace and medical technologies. Her tenure at Dow Corning also solidified her as a key figure, where she spent 25 years in various management roles, including several years operating out of Shanghai, China.

In recent years, since 2023, Bausch has also been involved with GATX Corporation's board of directors, which further highlights her extensive governance experience along with her significant contributions on various committees.

Sanjay Chowbey, President and CEO of Kennametal, remarked on the comprehensive expertise that Bausch will bring to the board, which encompasses operational excellence, strategic execution, and commercial leadership.
