FPI Co. Achieves Top CDP Supplier Engagement Rating for Three Years in a Row

FPI Co.’s Commitment to Sustainability Recognized

In a noteworthy achievement, FPI Co., headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has been awarded the highest designation of 'Supplier Engagement Leader' by the international non-profit organization CDP for the third consecutive year in its 2025 Supplier Engagement Rating. This accolade underscores FPI Co.'s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.

The Supplier Engagement Rating assesses companies based on their responses to inquiries surrounding climate change across five key areas: governance, target setting, Scope 3 emissions, risk management processes, and engagement with suppliers. FPI Co. has excelled in these areas, demonstrating strong leadership and innovation in the pursuit of environmental sustainability.

In March 2022, FPI Co. publicly supported the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), committing to several ambitious goals. By March 2031, the company aims to reduce its CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 31% compared to March 2020 levels and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Under the initiative called 'FPI Eco-Action 2.0,' various working groups across product development, supply chain management, production, logistics, sales, and office operations are actively laying out independent goals to contribute to environmental solutions.

Furthermore, CDP also evaluates companies on various environmental topics, and FPI Co. has been designated 'A-' for leadership in both climate change and water security assessments, just one tier below the top evaluation. This announcement is part of a larger communication effort scheduled for January 28, 2026.

FPI Co. is dedicated to expanding its 'FPI Recycling Method' to tackle waste reduction and resurrection. This effort involves minimizing the use of chemicals and hazardous waste to prevent pollution and health impacts on the natural environment. The company is steadfast in its commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders to strengthen sustainable value chains and effectively address environmental issues.
