Orlando Achieves Historic Milestone with 76.7 Million Visitors in 2025

Orlando Welcomes a Record 76.7 Million Visitors in 2025

Orlando, Florida, continues to shine as the top travel destination in the United States, with Visit Orlando reporting an extraordinary 76.7 million visitors in 2025. This figure signifies a 1.8% growth from 2024 and represents the highest number of visitors in the destination's history. The announcement was made during the annual National Travel and Tourism Week event, held at the Orange County Convention Center.

The increase in visitors was largely driven by domestic tourism, which saw a 2.2% rise, totaling 70.3 million visitors. Floridians played a vital role in this growth, accounting for a 3.4% increase in local visitors. Impressively, the bulk of these visitors chose to stay overnight, with 70% of domestic travelers staying at local accommodations, amounting to 49.2 million individuals, marking a 1.8% increase. However, international visitation was down slightly to 6.3 million, representing a 2.4% decline, primarily due to a decrease in travelers from Canada.

"National Travel and Tourism Week is the perfect backdrop to share these exciting statistics and honor the individuals behind Orlando's booming tourism sector, which empowers local businesses, creates jobs, and enriches the quality of life in our vibrant community," stated Casandra Matej, President and CEO of Visit Orlando. "While these impressive numbers underscore Orlando's growth, they also tell a deeper story about the meaningful experiences, treasured memories, and emotional connections that keep drawing travelers back to our wonderful city year after year."

Despite a drop in Canadian visitors, who remain Orlando's largest international market, the city also saw notable increases in incoming travelers from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Japan. Orlando's airport kicked off the year by introducing its first nonstop flights to Tokyo, enhancing connectivity with the Asia Pacific region.
