McDermott's First Subsea Project in Angola: A Milestone Achievement

McDermott International, a leader in energy engineering and construction, recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing its first subsea project for TotalEnergies in Angola. The project, which is part of the Begonia field development in Block 17/06, is located about 150 kilometers off the Angolan coast. The award of the Begonia project in 2022 marked a crucial addition to McDermott's portfolio, highlighting the growing capabilities of its onshore fabrication facilities in Luanda and the offshore installation supported by a versatile marine fleet. Notably, McDermott's Amazon vessel played a pivotal role, successfully installing over 40 kilometers of rigid pipelines, while the North Ocean 102 vessel effectively managed the subsea umbilical scope.
