The main objective of this agreement is to create a robust transportation system that prioritizes sustainability by integrating clean energy technology, thereby improving air quality and providing better access to jobs and education for Utahns.

Public support from various state departments, including the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO), illustrates the broad backing for the initiative. The public-private partnership not only looks to establish a statewide electric charging network for both aircraft and ground-based vehicles but also aims to develop necessary pilot training programs. It is expected to bring forth flight demonstrations to familiarize and educate the public about this innovative mode of transport.

Growth in Mobility Solutions

The pressing need for sustainable transportation solutions stems from Utah's rapid population growth, with over 90% of residents living in urban centers. The emerging AAM market is expected to generate upwards of 11,000 full-time jobs and facilitate over $8 billion in business activity, alongside generating significant tax revenues by 2045.
