Vermicular Pot Made Bakery Opens in Nagoya
On March 6, 2026, at 10 AM, the long-anticipated Vermicular Pot Made Bakery will officially open its doors on the basement food floor of Nagoya's Mitsukoshi Sakae. This new establishment is part of Aichi Dobie's acclaimed brand of cast-iron enameled cookware, which has created a unique space dedicated to the art of baking.
Nestled in the vibrant city where the brand was born, the Potter Made Bakery is unlike any other. It first emerged in 2019 within the Vermicular Village, a multifaceted experience center dedicated to the brand. This latest branch will be the third location in a series that includes the recently opened store at Hoshigaoka Mitsukoshi in October 2023 and the New Man Takanawa opening in September 2025.
The bakery is an all-encompassing destination, showcasing the distinctive baking prowess of Vermicular’s specially designed pots. Every loaf of bread is baked with care, resulting in a perfect juxtaposition of a crunchy crust and moist, flavorful interior. At this bakery, you can find an assortment of around 50 different types of artisan bread, along with beverages like coffee and lattes. Notable offerings include the famous "Vermicular's Waterless Curry Bread," lovingly filled with the brand's star dish, which is fried to perfection in a 10cm pot for an irresistible crispy outer layer and a soft, moist filling. Seasonal specialties such as the "Setoka Danish" and the "Walnut Cranberry Cheese Bread" will also grace the shelves, celebrating the arrival of spring with delightful flavors.
